Анотація

Лекція присвячена впливу найбільш значущих мікроелементів — йоду й селену — на формування патології щитоподібної залози. Оцінка стану щитоподібної залози в дітей і підлітків належить до пріоритетних напрямів розвитку тиреоїдології. Профілактика йододефіцитних захворювань актуальна для багатьох країн світу, зокрема для України. Проте існують дані, що патогенез захворювань щитоподібної залози, асоційованих із йодним дефіцитом, у низці випадків не можна пояснити дефіцитом лише йоду. У статті наведено сучасні дані щодо ролі селену в розвитку йододефіцитних захворювань щитоподібної залози, зокрема про вплив як ізольованого його дефіциту, так і в поєднанні з йодною недостатністю.
